We are currently accepting applications for our next Barista Training cohort, expected to run from early February to early April! The application period for this cohort is open until Thursday, January 1st at 11:59pm

Our barista program is all about helping you build a solid foundation in barista skills and general coffee know-how. We’re looking for someone who is interested in pursuing coffee as career option and professional path.

To apply, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old by the time the cohort begins.

The roughly 30-hour Barista Training Program is meant to be flexible, yet completed within an 8-week timeframe so that participants can balance the training program and the demands of life. Courses will primarily be hosted in-person at Dogwood Coffee headquarters in Northeast, Minneapolis.

Two stipend payments of $275 each are provided to participants to help eliminate barriers or offset costs for participation.

This next cohort is planned to run from early February through early April. While we do our best to keep things flexible, we do expect participants to attend each week. To help you decide if this will work for you, many of our courses are held weekday mornings and afternoons with some weekend options. If you already know you’ll be unavailable or missing a full week or more, we recommend holding off and applying for a future cohort instead!

Once the application period closes, our Sweet Ren team will review all submissions. We’ll reach out within a week to let you know where things stand. If selected, you’ll be invited to interview with us over the following two weeks. Final decisions will be shared once interviews wrap up.
